On August 15-16, we are inviting high school students all around the world to participate in our second event for our global hackathon series. 

We will have engaging speakers/workshops throughout the event to keep hackers motivated about their applications as well as provide mentors to help with technical debugging. Our prizes will include services from highly esteemed tech companies as well as cash/product prizes. This event is great for any high school who wants to network with professionals and build an app to benefit their direct community.

Eligibility

Any individual currently enrolled in a high school or middle school. We encourage individuals from all countries and backgrounds to apply.

Teams; Must be no greater than 4 individuals per team

Requirements

All hackers should build a product of their liking that adheres to one of our prize categories and is compliant with the prompt (TBA).

 

Once the product is complete, we require a video presentation that demonstrates the key features of the application/solution. Please also mention:

  • What is your target audience?
  • What problem are you solving?
  • What were some challenges you faced while building and how did you overcome them?
  • What are the next steps for your application?
  • Why is your application needed in today's changing climate?

The video length must be in between 2 and 5 minutes long.

  • Originality
    Has this product idea been implemented before? Does this product serve a new purpose?
  • Design
    Did the team put thought into graphical elements for UI? Does the application look professional and planned?
  • Technologically Advanced
    Did the team go above and beyond to implement advanced technologies? Does the application benefit from the libraries used?
  • Functionality
    From the demo video, does the app look finished? Do all of the elements in the application serve their intended purpose?
